Children

BBC Children In Need Next deadline is 30th November 2006
Grants are given for good quality, carefully planned projects that make a positive difference to the lives of very disadvantaged children and young people up to 18 years old. Two deadlines each year (30 March and 30 November).

Clore Duffield Foundation
The Clore Small Grants Programme aims to provide children and young people (aged 0 – 18) across the UK with opportunities to experience performing arts education at its best.

Comic Relief
Comic Relief is focusing its support on children and young people aged between 11 and 21 who have mental health problems, alcohol problems, abused through prostitution or trafficking, affected by domestic violence and/or homeless.

Glasgow City Council “Childcare Strategy”
Funding totalling £7m a year to sustain, expand and enhance childcare provision in Glasgow. The next deadline for applying is 12 May 2006.

Henry Smith Charity
The Charity will consider funding projects that provide holidays or outings for children from areas of considerable deprivation or children with a disability, aged 13 or under.

Laidlaw Youth Project
Encourages and funds good ideas for collaborative working aimed at supporting vulnerable children and / or young people in Scotland.

Lankelly Chase Foundation

Lloyds TSB Foundation for Scotland
The Foundation aims to support charities throughout Scotland which help people, especially those who are disadvantaged or disabled, to play a fuller role in their community.

Tesco Charity Trust
Offers one-off grants of between £1,500 and £5,000 to local organisations in areas where Tesco has stores. Children’s education and welfare and children with disabilities are particular priorities for the Trust. Apply in writing by 30 January (for children’s welfare and education) or 30 June (for children with disabilities) each year.
